Afiat — Payment Terms

Effective Date: 10 August 2026

These Payment Terms ("Terms") explain how payment works when you book a service or purchase a membership through the Afiat website or related apps (the "App"), operated by Radiant Lab Enterprise ("Afiat", "we", "us", or "our"). By confirming a booking or membership purchase through the App, you ("User", "you") agree to these Terms in addition to our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

These Terms cover payments between Users and independent studios or businesses listed on Afiat ("Business Provider(s)"). They do not cover any separate platform subscription or billing fees that a Business Provider may pay to Afiat for use of the App.

1. Nature of the Service

Afiat is a booking and discovery platform that connects Users with Business Providers. Afiat facilitates booking appointments and classes, displaying payment options set by Business Providers, recording payment status, and (where enabled) accepting proof of bank transfer for Business Provider review. Afiat is not a party to the underlying service agreement between the User and the Business Provider, and is not a payment processor, merchant of record, escrow agent, or financial institution for those service payments.

2. How Payment Works

At present, money for services and memberships booked through the App is paid directly by the User to the Business Provider, outside Afiat's custody, using methods the Business Provider enables in the App. Those methods may include:

  • Cash on arrival — paid in person to the Business Provider.
  • Bank transfer — paid to bank account details the Business Provider configures and that the App may display. Users may upload proof of transfer through the App for the Business Provider to review and approve or reject.
  • Membership credits or perks— prepaid entitlements recorded in the App after a membership is purchased from, or assigned by, the Business Provider. Using credits does not move funds through Afiat; it reduces the amount shown as due for a booking according to the Business Provider's membership rules.

Afiat does not collect, process, hold, or have custody of funds exchanged between Users and Business Providers for bookings or memberships. Afiat does not act as an agent of either party for those payments. Bank account details, cash arrangements, and transfer instructions are provided and managed by the Business Provider; the App only displays or records what the Business Provider has set up.

3. Pricing

Prices, rates, and fee estimates shown in the App are set by Business Providers. When you confirm a booking or membership purchase, the amount recorded for that transaction is based on the price and any credits, perks, or discounts applied in the App at confirmation. Additional amounts agreed only between you and the Business Provider outside the App (for example tip, add-ons, or in-person adjustments) are between you and the Business Provider. Afiat does not guarantee that every on-screen estimate will match every charge made outside the App.

4. Receipts and Proof of Payment

Formal receipts, invoices, or tax documents for cash or bank transfer payments are the Business Provider's responsibility. Where bank transfer is used, you may upload proof of payment through the App so the Business Provider can review it. That upload is a status and records tool for the booking or membership; it is not a receipt issued by Afiat as merchant of record. We recommend you also keep confirmation from your bank or the Business Provider.

5. Cancellations and No-Shows

Cancellation, rescheduling, and no-show rules are set by the Business Provider. Where the App allows you to cancel or change a booking, that action updates the booking record in the App; it does not mean Afiat collects or remits any cancellation fee. Because Afiat does not hold service payment funds, it cannot enforce, collect, or guarantee payment of any cancellation or no-show fee. Any such fee is between you and the Business Provider.

6. Refunds

Refunds of money paid to a Business Provider must be requested from that Business Provider under their own refund policy. Afiat does not process, guarantee, or send those refunds. Adjustments to membership credits or booking payment status in the App (for example after a Business Provider marks a transfer as unpaid or rejects proof) are record-keeping actions and are not themselves a transfer of funds by Afiat.

7. Disputes Between Users and Business Providers

Afiat is not responsible for resolving disputes about payment amounts, non-payment, overcharging, quality of service, rejected transfer proofs, or other matters arising from the direct transaction between a User and a Business Provider. Please resolve those issues directly with the Business Provider. Afiat may, at its sole discretion, help by facilitating communication (for example via in-App support tools), but is under no obligation to mediate, investigate, or compensate either party.

8. No Liability for Payment Transactions

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Afiat and Radiant Lab Enterprise, together with their officers, employees, and agents, shall not be liable for any loss, damage, fraud, dispute, or claim arising from or relating to any payment made, or purportedly made, between a User and a Business Provider, including non-payment, incorrect amounts, fraudulent payment requests, misuse of displayed bank details, or disputes over cash handling.

9. User Responsibility and Safety

When paying by cash or bank transfer, you are responsible for:

  • Verifying the identity and legitimacy of the Business Provider before paying.
  • Confirming the amount and, for transfers, that the account details shown in the App match what the Business Provider intends you to use.
  • Obtaining a receipt or other confirmation of payment where possible, in addition to any proof uploaded in the App.
  • Exercising reasonable caution, as with any direct cash or bank transfer transaction.

10. Future Changes to Payment Methods

Afiat may later introduce in-app card processing, escrow, or other payment methods. If that happens, these Payment Terms will be updated, and any separate terms for those features (including fees, refunds, and processor terms) will be presented for review and acceptance before those features become active for Users.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Payment Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the App or by other reasonable means. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Brunei Darussalam, without regard to its conflict of law principles.
